Obituary of Burma R. Castle

Burma R. Castle, a 50-year resident of Darien, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Brighton Gardens in Stamford. Born on October 30, 1919 in Belding, MI, she was the daughter of the late John Arthur and Gracie Bradshaw Cory. She was 92. Burma was a member of Noroton Presbyterian Church, the Country Club of Darien, and the Darien Community Association. She was also a volunteer reader at Royle Elementary School in Darien. She is survived by her husband Richard D. Castle of Darien; two daughters, Linda and her husband, Rick Eppinger of Neenah, WI and Susan and her husband, David Rolewick of Wheaton, IL; and a son, Jeff and his wife, Suzanne Castle of Fairfield, CT. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is survived by one brother, Donald R. Cory of Belding, MI. A private family service will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien with private burial at Spring Grove Cemetery.
