Obituary of Elizabeth M. Laslo

Elizabeth M. Laslo, a 50 year resident of Darien, CT, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Stamford Hospital in Stamford. Born November 19, 1917 in Rye, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Derda) Matlak. She was 88. Mrs. Laslo worked as a nurse at the Stamford Hospital. She was a member of the Czechoslovakian Society in Pennsylvania and a long time member of St. Benedict R. C. Church in Stamford. She also had a winter home in Hollywood, FL. Mrs. Laslo is survived by her husband, Martin Laslo of Darien, one brother, Carl Matlak of Southbury, CT and one sister, Ann Matthys of Darien, CT. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Benedict R.C. Church, 1 St. Benedict Circle, Stamford, CT on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
