Mr. Mallozzi was one of the very first Members I spoke to when I was hired at The Country Club of Darien. He was such a wonderful, kind, sweet man who made me feel so welcomed and more at ease. It's always so hard when you are starting a new position and his kindness was such a blessing. We at the Club will miss him! I send my thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Mallozzi and his children. The world a little sad today as we grieve with you all.

Molozzi Family, The Forte Family would like to send a very heartfelt condolence to the Molozzi family. I know my grandparents shared some fond memories of the family. In fact, up until my grandmother's passing, we still had a rather outdated sports coat with the "Bob's Sports" logo on the inside breast. As a child I remember going with them to the store and running around! I probably would have been asked to leave if it wasn't for being part of the family! In Sympathy, Jack Payne (Forte Grandson) Mellissa Hughes (Forte Granddaughter) Glen Evon (Forte Grandson) Pam Evon (Forte Daughter)

I was so saddened to hear of Mr. Mallozzi's passing. I have such wonderful memories visiting the Mallozzi home. Though many years have passed, it seems like it was really just yesterday, and I can only recall how gracious, friendly, fun, and warm he was. My deepest condolences to all of the Mallozzi family.

It is with a heavy heart that we received word of Bob's passing from one of our daughters who lives in New Canaan. From Milt: Bob and I were childhood friends and neighbors who shared many activities as we grew to adulthood. We were preschool chums who did most of the things together that children did during the 1930's and '40s. evolving from hide and seek, through kick the can, pickup one-a-cat softball, on to touch and tackle football in my back yard. We even scaled Mrs's Frisbie's metal pie plates back and forth long before Frisbie became a sport. Bob and I were school chums during 12 years of Darien Public Schools. During three consecutive months of July in 1946,'47, and '48 one of the highlights of our teenage years was going on wilderness canoe trips in Northern Maine with other neighborhood buddies, including Alphonse Palmer who was also part of our "gang." We learned how to camp and fish as we paddled hundreds of miles together in what is now the Allagash Scenic Waterway. In later years Bob and I clerked summers and pre-Christmas holidays in Bob's Sport Shop in Stamford. Then as is usually the case with childhood relationships, the succession of college, military service, marriage, children, and employment drew us apart to the point that our contacts reduced to annual holiday greetings. Out of touch for about 50 years, we reconvened for lunch with Al Palmer at the Country Club of Darien in June of 2013 and again last year. Our bonds are so strong that it seemed little time had elapsed instead of five decades since we had last gotten together. Al and I chatted today, and we will sorely miss Bob, but these and many more fond memories will endure. We extend our deepest condolences to Phyllis and the rest of the family.
