Obituary of Michael A. Fuentes

Michael A. Fuentes, a resident of Darien, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Stamford Hospital. Born on November 30, 1952 in Havana, Cuba, he is the son of Miguel and Hilda Fuentes of Darien. He was 62 years of age.
Dr. Fuentes was a political exile from his homeland of Cuba and came to the United States in 1961. He graduated cum laude from Harvard with his Bachelor of Science in Premed in 1974 and from Georgetown Medical School in 1978 with his Medical Doctorate degree. Dr. Fuentes completed his residences in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Harvard Medical Hospitals from 1978 to 1984.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his daughter Mary Hilda Fuentes and his son Michael Andrew Fuentes both from Pennsylvania.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at St. Thomas More R.C. Church in Darien. Burial followed at St. John Cemetery in Darien. www.lawrencefuneralhome.com
