Obituary of Barbara Lee Ronk

Barbara Lee "Bobbie" Ronk, 85, of Wilton, Ct. passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Wilton Meadows Health Care Center. Visitation hours will be Thursday, May 31 from 3-5 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home located at 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT followed by an informal celebratory gathering at The Waters Edge at Giovanni's located at 2748 Post Road on the Darien/Stamford border. Bobbie was the wife of the late Glenn Emery Ronk for 58 years. She was also the loving mother of three children (Edward Curtis Ronk, Westfield, NJ; Martin Daniel Ronk, Redding, CT and William Thomas Ronk, Wilton, CT.) She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter, Constance Lee Panebianco and her one sister, Jackie Waterman. Born June 4th, 1927 in Union County, New Mexico, Bobbie was a longtime resident of Darien, CT, Lake Forest, IL and Kinnelon, NJ. She was an avid gardener, culinary expert and gourmet chef. Her spirited personality devoted many years of service to multiple charitable organizations in both Darien, CT and Lake Forest, IL.
