So sorry to hear about your father's passing. He was a very kind man, and always made me feel like part of your family when I was at your home. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Those who were lucky enough have the opportunity to make music with Frank Porretta were deeply enriched. He was one of the kindest, wittiest, most generous and joyful men I've known. Frank, Anna, Gregory, Matthew and Roberta, my deepest condolences to you and all your families. Sending you love and light.

Frankie, Anna, Greg, Matt and Roberta..you have no idea how much your Father meant to "us students"...he was an exceptional, gifted and knowledgeable person. Those of us who studied with him truly appreciated his compassion, brilliance what he taught us and how he taught us. I am grateful to have known him and been under his careful tutelage. You are all in my prayers.

Dear Family, I share your loss of such a wonderful man. I enjoyed my many years of working with Frank to improve my singing and under his direction for the many church worships and "perfomances". I wish I could be there to celebrate his life with you. God bless all of you. Jane Brzoska

Mr. Porretta (that's what I always called him) has a significant place in my childhood memories. He was always so kind as my church choir maestro, tolerating silliness and even playing along, all the while encouraging excellence. I'll never forget when he told my parents, after a rehearsal, that I had a beautiful voice. I don't know if he was just being nice, I mean, how could he hear me in the crowd. I have fond memories, as well, of when he and Mrs. Porretta were the musical directors of the High School Summerstock production of L'il Abner. Always kind and loving in their approach to kids and music, creating serious fun. I realize the shifting sands of time when someone of such substance moves on from this realm. Love and peace to you, Mr. Porretta, Frank, and your whole, beautiful family.
