Eric T. Clinkenbeard Obituary

Eric T. Clinkenbeard died Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Stamford Hospital after a 14-year heroic battle with cancer. Born May 1, 1972 in New Mexico, he was the son of Mark and Dorry Clinkenbeard of Stamford. He was 33.


Eric lived in Stamford most of his life before moving to Yuma, AZ. He attended elementary school in Stamford and graduated from Westhill High School in 1991. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Darien for many years.


Eric always dreamed of serving his country and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after graduation. Eric received a medical retirement from the Marine Corps for his cancer and moved to Yuma, AZ where he entered college and worked in videos, landscaping and had his own D.J. business working area clubs and private functions.


Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Dione and Kristin Clinkenbeard both of Stamford. In addition he is survived by his wife, Angela; a daughter Jenna and stepdaughter, Jalinna all of Bridgeport. He is also survived by aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews in Wyoming and Arizona as well as his grandmother, Alice Jacobson of Lake Haves City, AZ.


Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Friday, April 21, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.


A Celebration of Eric's Life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 988 Post Road, Darien on Monday, May 1, 2006 at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
