Obituary of Bruce Ward Boland

Bruce Ward Boland, a former resident of Rowayton, CT, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 17, 2015 Born on February 13, 1952 in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of John J. and Jean Ward Boland. He is survived by his loving father John J. Boland, daughter Kelly E. Reilly Boland (Los Gatos, CA) and the mother of his child, Terry Boland. He is also survived by 4 siblings, brother J. Jay Boland and his wife Barbara (Darien, CT), sister Susan (Boland) Sullivan and her husband William (Darien, CT), brother Robert T. Boland and his wife Sue (Overland Park, KS), and sister Melissa (Boland) Turner and her husband Tony (Greenwich, CT) as well as nieces and nephews, Stuart, Clifford, Zachary, Olivia, Spencer, Delaney, Patrick, Kaleen, Brennan, Reilly, Shannon, Caroline and Jack. His sister Debbie and mother Jean passed in 2013. Bruce grew up in Glen Ridge, NJ. He graduated in 1974 from St Leo College in Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. The majority of his career was in Mall Management and Retail Leasing working for Taubman and O'Connor Group. This field took him to California where he lived in the San Francisco and Los Angeles area. He had a passion being for sports, especially golf, and a love for the Yankees, the 49'rs, last but not least the San Francisco Giants. Bruce will be remembered for his love and loyalty to family and friends, his sense of humor, and quick wit. He was a warm, kind soul and will be deeply missed. Services and interment will be private.
