Obituary of Elizabeth Gay Millson-Whitney

Elizabeth Gay died on June 28, 2012 surrounded by loving family and friends. Gay was born to Chris and Judy Millson on April 7, 1963 at Williams Air Force Base in Mesa, Arizona. She attended the University of Virginia, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering and was a cheerleader.
Gay began her career at Saks Fifth Avenue in 1989 as a buyer and rose to the position of Vice President of Merchandise Technology. In January of 2000, she started Incite! Consulting. Her consulting business served a broad array of clients including Aeropostale, Eli Tahari, and Polo Ralph Lauren. Most recently, Gay served as Senior Vice President of Industry Engagement at GS1 US where she played a vital role in industry leadership helping businesses create and adopt global supply chain standards.
Gay was a loving mother and a generous, positive spirit. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid runner, completing several New York City Marathons. She also served on the Board of the Rowayton Little League, taught Sunday school at St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was an Odyssey of the Mind coach.
Surviving Gay are her three children, Katherine, Maggie and Robbie; her former husband Bob, her parents, Chris and Judy Millson, and her siblings, Chris, Peter and Amy. Countless friends, family and colleagues will miss her enthusiasm, kindness and captivating presence.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1864 Boston Post Road, Darien, CT 06820 on July 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
