Elizabeth A. Obuchowski, a 57 year Darien resident, died on Sunday, May 14, 2006 at Norwalk Hospital. Born November 30, 1915 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the Mary and Michael Tirpak. She was 90 Elizabeth was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Darien, volunteered at Person-to-Person and was a member of the Darien Senior Center in Darien. She is survived by two daughters, J. Carole Sandor and Nancy Baker both of Darien; five sisters, Mary Barry of Darien, Helen McGuinness, Elen Olsen and Joan Dineen of Stamford and Dorothy Hamernick of Norwalk; three granddaughters, Joan-Renee Seckinger and Rachel VanHouten both of Vero Beach, FL; Sarah Baker of Darien and two great granddaughters, Ashton and Claudia Seckinger both of Vero Beach, FL. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Obuchowski. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at St. John R.C. Church in Darien. Burial followed at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien. Memorial donations may be made to Post 53 Ambulance Service, P. O. Box 2066, Darien, CT 06820.
