Albert L. Nowinski Obituary

Albert L. Nowinski, a resident of Stamford since 1938, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. Born on September 2, 1916 in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Josephine Nowinski. He was 89.


Mr. Nowinski was a self-employed furniture maker. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.


He is survived by his four children, Albert Nowinski, Jr. of Greenwich; Gene R. Nowinski of Daytona Beach, FL; Donna M. Nowinski of Stamford and Robert M. Nowinski also of Stamford. He is also survived by four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Jean Jarosz Nowinski in 2001.


The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Sunday, May 21, 2006 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Darien.
