Obituary of Thomas Per-Lee McGraw

Thomas Per-Lee McGraw of Port Orange, Florida and of Sea Island, Georgia, died on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at his home in Sea Island. He was born May 22, 1951 in Bronxville, New York. He was 55. The cause of death was heart failure.
Mr. McGraw was the son of Harold W. McGraw, Jr., chairman emeritus of The McGraw-Hill Companies, the global information services provider, and the late Anne P. McGraw.
After attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, Mr. McGraw became a professional pilot and founded McGraw Aeronautical Systems, where he was its chief executive office. Before attending Embry-Riddle, he graduated from the Trinity-Pawling School in Pawling, New York.
Mr. McGraw was an active volunteer for a variety of youth and senior programs.
Mr. McGraw is survived by his wife, Teresa Elizabeth McGraw and his two children, Michelle and Thomas, Jr. of Brunswick, Georgia; his father Harold, Jr. and his sister, Suzanne both of Darien, Connecticut; and his two brothers, Harold III (Terry) also of Darien and Robert of Irvington-on-Hudson, New York.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Noroton Presbyterian Chapel, 2011 Post Road, Darien, Connecticut. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a worthy charity on behalf of Thomas McGraw. The Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien handled the arrangement.
