Ray A. Coutermash, a life long resident of Darien, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. Born February 2, 1960 in Stamford, he was the son of Patricia Flaherty Coutermash of Darien and the late Allen Ray Coutermash who passed away in 1998. He was 46. Mr. Coutermash was owner of Ray Coutermash Excavating since 1979. He was a member of the Darien Boat Club. He had a great love for his Harley, Grady White, his snowmobile and skiing. Beside his mother, he is survived by two children, Amber Ray Coutermash and Allen Ray Coutermash both of Westport, CT; one brother, Richard Coutermash of Darien and one sister, Dawn Christensen of Boynton Beach, FL. He is also survived by one niece, Emma Coutermash of Carmel, IN and one nephew, Chase Christensen of Boynton Beach, FL. Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, July 20, 2006 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien on Friday, July 21, 2006 at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
