Obituary of Theresa Frances O'Rourke

Theresa Frances O'Rourke, a former longtime resident of Stamford, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Masonicare in Wallingford, CT. Born on June 15, 1928 in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine (McManus) O'Rourke. Theresa graduated from the Academy of Mt. Saint Ursula High School in the Bronx, NY. She then attended Secretarial school. Theresa worked for Mr. Frank Munson, the CEO of General Reinsurance Corp. in Stamford, where she rose to the position of his Executive Secretary. She volunteered for the Jewish Family Services in retirement by shopping for the elderly. Theresa is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary, Katherine, Alice and Josephine and her brothers, Patrick, John and Eugene. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT 06820 on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. John R. C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien.
