Obituary of Therese Marie Dumont

Therese Dumont, 90, died peacefully on November 12th in Stamford, Ct after a brief illness. Born in Daigle (New Canada Plt), Maine on September 9, 1922 she was one of 21 children born to Damase and Edwidge (Ouellette) Bouchard. She was the beloved wife of Chanel P. Dumont who predeceased her in 2011. She was also predeceased by two daughters, Denise and Donna. She is survived by two sons Daniel Dumont of Pendleton OR.; Paul (Fran) Dumont of Armonk NY; her daughter, Diane (Robert) McGrath of Norwalk CT; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She leaves a brother, Lawrence Bouchard of Keegan, ME and two sisters, Laurette Gendreau of East Hartford, CT and Marcella Madore of Coventry, CT and many nieces, nephews. Therese was raised in Keegan Maine and moved to Darien, Connecticut with her husband in 1946 where they resided for 63 years. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT from 10 11:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 12:00 pm at St. John's Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien. Interment will follow at Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport, CT. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Foundation for the Blind, 2 Penn Plaza, Suite 1102, New York, NY 10121.
