Obituary of Anne Doolan Quirk

Anne Doolan Quirk, a resident of New Canaan, formerly of Highland Beach, FL and Darien, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2006 at Norwalk Hospital. Born February 6, 1918 in South Deerfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Hannah (Connor) Doolan. She was 88. Mrs. Quirk graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for over 40 years. She is survived by her five children, Virginia Lake of South Bend, IN; Cornelius M. Quirk, Jr. of Westfield, NJ; Robert D. Quirk of Hingham, MA; MaryEllen Quirk and Jill Vernon both of Darien and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Cornelius M. Quirk, two sisters, Helen Ciborowski and Margaret Moylan and four brothers, John, Thomas, Michael and Edward Doolan. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Aloysius Church, 40 Maple Street, New Canaan on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 11:00 AM. A private family interment will be held at St. John R.C. Cemetery in Darien. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Canaan Inn, c/o Waveny Care Center, 3 Farm Road, New Canaan, CT 06840 or St. Aloysius School Scholarship Fund, 33 South Avenue, New Canaan, CT 06840.
