Obituary of Edward J. Tomczyk

Edward J. Tomczyk, a long time resident of Stamford, CT, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2007 at home in Stamford. Born April 9, 1935 in Greenwich, he was the son of Stella Tomczyk of Stamford and the late Anthony Tomczyk. He was 71. Mr. Tomczyk retired from Town Electric, Inc. in Darien as an electrician. He was an avid fisherman who had wonderful memories of his two trips to Alaska. His favorite past-time was spending time with his grandchildren Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife Lois Tomczyk of Stamford; three daughters, Lynn Bradley and her husband Christopher of Houston, TX; Andrea Sikes and her husband Peter of Madison, CT; Jacqueline Giuliano and her husband Robert of Stamford; one brother, Anthony Tomczyk of Stamford and one sister, Marilyn Trefry also of Stamford. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Stephen and Carolyn Bradley; Gregory and Thomas Sikes; and Michael and Timothy Giuliano; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two sons. Family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Sunday, January 7, 2007 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 9:00 AM.
