Obituary of Vivan T. Knapp

Vivian T. Knapp, a resident of Darien since 1968, born and raised in Cos Cob, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2007 at Courtland Gardens in Stamford. Born June 13, 1921 in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Grace (Leslie) Tryon. She was 85. Mrs. Knapp graduated from Greenwich High School. She worked as a secretary for CBS Publication, Conde Nast Publication and was a member of Diamond Hill United Methodist Church in Cos Cob She is survived by one son, Gary Knapp of Stratford, one sister, June Schupp of Elgin, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur R. Knapp in 1990, one brother, Edward Tryon and one sister, Helen Talbot. A graveside service will be held at Bald Hill Cemetery in Wilton, CT on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 2:00 PM. The Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien handled the arrangements.
