Obituary of Pio Eugene D'Ottavio

Pio E. D’Ottavio, 91, a 54 year resident of Darien passed away on Feb. 9, 2007 at Courtland Gardens H.C.C. in Stamford. He was born on Feb. 14, 1915 in N.Y.C., N.Y. to the late Eugene & Evalina Scala D’Ottavio. He was a retired artist draftsman from Pitney Bowes, who took early retirement so he could devote time to his hobbies of duck and bird wood carvings. Mr D’Ottavio was a long time member of St John R.C. Church in Noroton and a former member of the Darien Sr. Men’s Association. He is survived by his wife Sylvia J. D’Ottavio of Darien: 2 sons Eugene D. D’Ottavio and his wife Bonnie of Wareham, MA and Robert A. D’Ottavio and Marie of Darien, 1 brother Decio D’Ottavio of Bellrose, LI and 1 sister Palmina Riva of Riverdale, NY. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home 2119 Post Rd Darien, today, Sunday Feb. 11, 2007 from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St John R.C. Church in Noroton. Entombment will be in St Mary’s R.C. Cemetery in Rye, NY.
