James K. Schwab, 81, a life long Darien resident died March 2, 2007 at his home in Darien. He was born February 9, 1926 in Darien to the late Albert F. and Lillian Kenealy Schwab. He was a graduate of Darien High School class of 1944, and then served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.

James worked for over 35 years with the Petro Fuel Co. He was a long time member of the Ischoda Yacht Club and was an avid lobsterman.

He was survived by his two daughter: Debby Cote of Darien and Pmela A. Makszin of Norwalk, and one brother A.J. Schwab of Daytona Beach, FL, and five grandchildren. James was pre-deceased by his wife Vivian Critcher Schwab in 1978.

Friend may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church in Darien on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John R.C. Church in Norwalk.
