Marion S. Loomis, a resident of Darien since 1960, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2007 in Darien. Born October 8, 1915 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Fred H. and Mary (Kemper) Snyder. She was 91. Mrs. Loomis attended the University of Illinois. She was a long time parishioner of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Darien. She volunteered at the Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center in Stamford and later volunteered at the Snack Bar at the Darien Sports Shop where the proceeds went to the Easter Seal Rehabilitation. She also volunteered at New Covenant House in Stamford. She is survived by one daughter, July L. Gould of Chadds Ford, PA; one son, Donald E. Loomis, Jr. of Darien and one granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald E. Loomis and one son Christopher Loomis. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. John R.C. Church in Darien. Interment will be private. The Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien handled the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Western Connecticut Chapter, One Selleck Street, Suite 500, Norwalk, CT 06855.
