I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother and grandmother. I had Mrs. Bartlett at DHS for Trig/Algebra 3 and Calculus - 1981-83. She was a wonderful teacher, a compassionate woman, and had a beautiful soul. She encouraged all of her students to do their best.

So sorry to hear of the loss of a great teacher. I had Mrs Bartlett in high school. The teacher before her let me know that "math was not my thing" Mrs Bartlett let me know that math was my thing and so was teaching others. I was retaking a class's because I had not done well. Mrs B taught me a different way and I "got it" she then had me teach others in the class. Mrs Bartlett and Coach Davidson steered me into teaching . I am forever grateful .

Mrs. Bartlett was my most favorite math teacher in high school!! I have very fond memories of her. I also knew her through my parent's church. She and her husband were two of the nicest people I ever knew. I'm saddened at her passing and my thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I am so sorry for your loss. May it help you to know that God says at Isaiah 33:24 that; No resident will say "I am sick". So soon, because God care for you and your loved one, you will no longer pain or mourn for your loved ones because of sickness for it will be gone, never to return. Please find some comfort, you and your family, from this fact, in the days ahead and in your time of need.

Mrs. Bartlett taught me math at Darien High School and was an exemplary teacher. I don't think she found me to be an exemplary student of math! I got to know your Mother later in my life as an adult as both of your parents were friends of my parents Gordon and Laurie Drain, formerly of Darien. My deepest sympathies to you all at this most difficult time.

It is with fond memories that I write sign this guestbook. I, among many others, had Mrs. Bartlett as a math instructor at DHS. I believe my grandfather, Jack Forte, hired her as a teacher. I graduated in 1988, which was at the tail end of her teaching career. I would like to say that I was an above average math student, but I would be kidding myself. I did not know her math background, but upon reading the obituary, it put into prospective the terrific mind that she had. She has made many contributions to the lives of many students during her career. She is remembered and revered as a great educator and brilliant mind. Please accept my condolences. Jack Payne, DHS '88
