Obituary of Eric A. Erickson

Eric A. Erickson, a resident of Williamsville, NY and a former 50 year resident of Stamford, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Canterbury Woods in Williamsville, NY. Born March 4, 1918 in Delsbo, Sweden, he was the son of the late Eric and Anna Stromstedt Erickson.
Eric worked for IBM for 28 years and retired in 1975 as a Systems Engineer. He was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a member of the Stamford Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by his four daughters, Joan E. Tilford of Chesterfield, MO; Nancy E. Zywicki of East Amherst, NY; Karen E. Mazako of Monroe, CT and Ann E. Gifford of Greenwood, CO; and five grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Irene Thopsey Erickson.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Ina Ellen Chapel at St. John's Lutheran Church, 884 Newfield Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Darien.
