Obituary of Margaret A. Meehan

Margaret A. Meehan, 86, formerly of Darien, CT, died in her daughter’s home in Ft. Myers, FL on May 6, 2007 while under Hospice care. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she moved to the United States at age 8. She was a naturalized citizen and a practicing Catholic.
Margaret managed and assisted the medical practice of F. M. Bannon, MD then Louis D. Browning, MD, both of Stamford, CT.
“Marge” is survived by daughter Anne Meehan of Ft. Myers, FL; son Bob Meehan of Blackville, SC; sister Anne Wissman of Largo, FL; niece Marge Wissman, DVM of Wesley Chapel, FL; nephew Tom Wissman of Largo, FL; and niece Michelle Jakielo of Wethersfield, CT.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 12 noon at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Darien.
