Obituary of Roger Warren Messenger

Roger Warren Messenger, a resident of Stamford, CT and a former resident of Westport, CT passed away on Friday, June 8, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born in 1930 in Mt. Kisco, NY, he was the son of the late Bert Septimus and Marietta (Washburn) Messenger. He was 76. Roger graduated from high school in Chappaqua, NY. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked as an Electro Mechanical Prototype Technician with Pitney Bowes, Perkin Elmer, IBM, Norden Systems and Northrup Aircraft. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Longshore Golf Club in Westport, CT. Roger is survived by one son, David G. Messenger of Norwalk and one granddaughter, Mikaela Ellyn Messenger. He is also survived by his former wife Hanna K. Ford of Darien, CT. He was predeceased by two brothers, Chandler and David Messenger and one sister, Joyce Wilson. A Funeral Service will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 10 Wall Street, Apt. 11, Norwalk, CT 06850.
