Obituary of Mary Nichols McBride

Mary Nichols McBride, a resident of Wilson Point in Norwalk since 1960, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in New Canaan. She was born on May 5, 1920 in New Haven, CT to the late Thomas and Anne Nichols. During high school and college, she was on the staff of the New Haven Public Library. She worked for the F.B.I in New Haven and Washington, DC from 1942 to 1948. She was also a member of the F.B.I. Former Agents Society and a parishioner of St. John R.C. Church in Darien. She is survived by her son Charles F. McBride and his wife, Judith; two daughters, Theresa McBride Levy and her husband, Christopher; and Eileen McBride Margherio and her husband John; two grandsons, Charles C. McBride, II and John J. Margherio, Jr. and two granddaughters, Meredith F. McBride and Laura M. Margherio. She was predeceased by her husband Francis X. McBride; a daughter, Mary McBride Konrad and a sister Catherine Nichols MacDonald. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk. Memorial donations may be made to St. John R.C.
