Katherine (Kay) McKay, of Woodlawn and Montauk, NY passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Friday, October 22, 2010. She was predeceased by Herb, her loving husband of over fifty years. Kay was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her seven children: Douglas McKay, Brian McKay, and Sean McKay of Darien, CT; Ellen Oates of White Plains, NY; Maureen Whalen of Sleepy Hollow, NY; Matthew McKay of Ridgefield, NJ; and Kieran McKay of New York City. As Grandma Kay, she is survived by fifteen adoring grandchildren. Devoted sister Josephine Sullivan and brothers Michael McShane and Peter McShane also survive.
Though physically limited later in her life, Katherine's faith in Christ was absolute and unwavering. Her lifelong dedication to the Lord and His Church served as an example to her family and friends.
No longer burdened by earthly constraints, Katherine is now at peace. We were all blessed for the time we had with her.
