Obituary of Glenn J. Wolak

Glenn J. Wolak, age 48, of Darien passed away Tuesday evening, November 30, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport on March 8, 1962, he was the son of Ruth Seguin and Walter Wolak. Glenn grew up in Fairfield, CT, graduated from Ludlowe High School in 1981 and attended Fairfield University. He worked for many years in advertising as a production manager at Ben Marketing Group and Austin Lawrence Inc. of Stamford. He was a member of St. Thomas More R.C. Church of Darien. Glenn's family was his most important focus in life, and his daughters Olivia and Victoria brought him tremendous joy. He could be seen cheering them on at their soccer games and driving to endless practices. He enjoyed remodeling his home and would spend hours on innumerable projects. Glenn loved to play the alto saxophone, paint landscapes, ride his Ducati motorcycle and cruise with his wife in his Camaro. Glenn is survived by his wife of 22 years Lisa R. Wolak of Darien, two loving daughters, Victoria and Olivia, five brothers, Walter, Greg, Kevin, Jerry and Roger Wolak, two sisters, Marion Simmons and Ruth Carlson, and several nieces and nephews. The family welcomes relatives and friends on Friday, December 3rd from 4pm to 8 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, in Darien. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 4th at 10:30 am at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 374 Middlesex Road in Darien. Interment will follow at St. John's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Darien.
