Obituary of Francis J. (Frank) Taylor

Francis J. Taylor, a resident of Derby, VT and former long-time resident of Stamford, CT passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Lebanon Center-Genesis in Lebanon, NH. Born May 26, 1929 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Murray) Taylor. He was 84. Frank graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School and City College of New York. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He spent his career in the pharmaceutical industry, the last 23 years of which were with Sterling Drug. He is survived by his son, John Taylor and daughter-in-law, Darcy of Stamford; and three granddaughters, Julie Stoltman and George Dugdale of Seattle, WA; Jane Taylor of New York, NY; and Erin Taylor of Stamford. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann, in 1990 and moved to Derby, VT with his second wife, Alberta, who died in 2012. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
