There was no kinder person in the world than Peter, who touched the lives of so many, so deeply. He will forever live in all our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kim, the boys and all the rest of Peter's family and friends.

I worked with Peter in MHT's syndications group, which now is many years of course - but it certainly feels like yesterday. Among many great memories, I can still think of simply assuming that Peter would be two desks behind me and one desk behind Jackie Wong every single work day, ready to answer our un-ending investor questions or to pop a joke. "Waiting for Godot" was his definition for one of my investors as we waited for over two months to get a commitment on one of Peter's deals - in the days when a perfectly solid deal's sale was a true accomplishment. I cannot think of a single colleague who would not truly think of Peter as a gentleman and a great banker and consider myself very lucky to have known him. I and my husband Tom extend our deepest condolences to Kim, whom we met with Peter at a dinner at our house, as well as the whole family. Nazan & Tom Clohesy.

Our season tennis court has been next to Peters group on Saturday mornings for the past 14 years. Peter would always say good morning and we would banter back and forth on the antics that happened on our respective courts. He was always smiling even if he missed his shot. He was usually the first guy there and would watch and cheer us on until his friends arrived. Saturday mornings won't be the same without him - he will be missed.

To the Nightingale Family - my deepest sympathies are with you during this difficult time. While working with Peter at different institutions while he was at Newstar, Peter was one of the most consistently intelligent and constructive people I worked with. During "work hours", we had the pleasure of sharing with you a great man. I know that all who worked with him share this opinion. He will be sorely missed.

Peter's face pulled you into him with his caring eyes, warm smile and confident expression. It was impossible to not want to know what this man had going for him that was so good. As a colleague at MannyHanny and Chemical, I was enriched by association with him. When we would meet years thereafter, the minute we saw each other all distance and time in between would melt away such was the embrace of his character. I truly enjoyed Peter and always knew I would not get enough time with him. The time we did meet will never be forgotten. The prayers and best wishes of the Shinnicks go to Peter's family. Kim - I have very fond memories of Peter when we were colleagues in Syndications at MHT. A real gentleman and great mentor to lots of us. I am sure we drove him crazy at times, but he always seemed to keep his cool and have a lot of good ideas. He was the voice of reason and eased the way for a lot of good decisions. I rarely met another person in my 38 yr career on Wall Street that I trusted so much. He left us way too soon. I will remember him fondly. Regards, Wendy Field.
