Obituary of Vincent Montanaro

Vincent Montanaro, a 27 year resident of Darien, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Norwalk Hospital. Born ON September 12, 1940 in New Canaan, he was the son of the late Felice and Olivia Sarno Montanaro. He was 70. Vincent was a former owner and operator of M & S Carting Co. and most recently worked for Datco Bus Co. in New Canaan. He was a parishioner of St. John R.C. Church in Darien, a 4th degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus in New Canaan and Stamford, and a 40 year member of the Elks Club in Bennington, VT and a former member of the Darien Boat Club. He is survived by his wife, Patricia M. Montanaro of Darien; a brother, Felice Montanaro of Milford, CT; a sister, Cecelia Futie of West Virginia and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 9:15 to 10:15 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R. C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
