Obituary of Pasquale L. Sannino

Pasquale L. Sannino, a resident of Darien for 47 years passed away on Friday March 7, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. He was born to the late Luca and Annunziata (Autiero) Sannino on June 21, 1926 in Torre del Greco, Italy. He was 87. Pasquale joined the Italian merchant marine in 1947. He served on the ship Orcd' Allo for 10 years. He then Immigrated to the US in 1957. He worked for Pitney Bowes for over 30 years. He was pre-deceased by his first wife Emma Sannino in 1999. Pat enjoyed gardening and visiting friends in his spare time. He also served for years as a Eucharistic Minister at ST Thomas More RC in Darien. He is survived by his wife Tina Sannino of Darien, two daughters Nancy Shullman and husband Michael of New Canaan and Melina Duignan and her husband Bill of Monroe, one brother Luigi Sannino of Irvington, NJ, and seven grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, Brian, Jack, Daniel, Emma and Thomas. Calling hours will be held at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd., Darien on Monday March 10, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Aloysius RC Church, 40 Maple Street, New Canaan on Tuesday March 11, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at St John's Cemetery in Darien.
