Robert (Bob) A. D'Urso, a long-time resident of Stamford, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 in Greenburgh, NY. Born on June 5, 1962 in Stamford, he is the son of Anthony and Annette (LoPiano) D'Urso of Darien. He was 51. Bob was a graduate of New Canaan High School. He worked as crew chief and master electrician for the Westchester Broadway Theatre. He was an avid Mets and Jets fan. He was a beloved son, brother, best man and godfather.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Angela D'Urso Matticola of Granger, IN and a brother, Michael D'Urso of Darien. He is also survived by two nephews and one niece.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian will be held at St. John R.C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Stamford. www.lawrencefuneralhome.com
