Eautha K. Brown, a resident of Darien for over 40 years and a former longtime resident of Greenwich, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. Born on April 6, 1924 in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Ernest G. and Pearl Kellam Brown. She was 90. Eautha graduated from Wheeler School in Providence, RI and received an associate degree from Briarcliff Junior College. She worked as a secretary for the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home for 18 years. She also worked for Clewett & Co. in Greenwich and Thermix. She had a lifelong interest in sailing and at one point she had her own charter business. She was a member of the Bristol Yacht Club, Riverside Yacht Club and Pine Orchard Yacht Club. She was a parishioner of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She is survived by her daughter, Eautha T. Munkelwitz of Darien; a step-daughter, Cynthia Peaton and a step-son George Munkelwitz both of Sarasota, FL. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret and her husband Sylvestor Larkin of Greenwich and Ray Swanson of Denver, CO; and four nieces and two nephews. The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1864 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at Branford Center Cemetery, Branford, CT.
