Obituary of Teresa McNamee Laird

Teresa M. Laird, age 83, died July 17th at the Notre Dame Nursing Home in Norwalk. Terry was born September 18, 1930 in Philadelphia to the late John and Helen McNamee. Terry was married to Gerald (Jerry) Laird for 58 years. They moved to Rowayton in 1959. Terry graduated from the Holy Child Academy in Sharon Hill, PA. She worked at The Bulletin after graduation. Terry and Jerry met in Cape May, NJ and after marrying lived in Pittsburgh and then Dobbs Ferry. Terry worked for many years at Surgical Associates in Westport. As well as her husband, Terry leaves behind a son, Robert of Falmouth, MA and daughter, Dana of Rowayton. Edward Lawrence Funeral Home at 2119 Post Road Darien will receive friends from 5-8 on Wednesday July 23rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at on Thursday, July 24th at 11 am at St. John's Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rowayton Historical Society, PO Box 106, Rowayton, CT 06853 or the Rowayton Art Center, 145 Rowayton Avenue, Rowayton, CT 06853.
