Obituary of Nickolas Frank (Buddy) Querro

Nickolas Frank (Buddy) Querro, 76, a life long resident of Darien, passed away on June 25, 2011, after a lengthy illness. He was born July 20, 1934 to Lee A. Querro and Ernestine Bruno Querro. Nick was predeceased by his father, October 23, 1997. He is survived by his mother; his brother, Lee J. Querro and wife Sharon; sister, Bridgenne Querro LiVolsi and husband Frank; nieces Carey Querro Strahley, husband Charles III and children Charles IV and Connor; Allison L. Querro; Amy LiVolsi Gragg, husband Edwin and children Frank and Benjamin; Bridgenne LiVolsi Mallozzi, husband Joseph and children Joseph and Madison.
Nick attended Darien High School, class of 1952, Teachers College of Connecticut, New Britain, class of 1956, received his Masters Degree from Fairfield University and 6th year from Colorado State College, Greeley, Colorado. Served in the U.S. Army 1958-1960 at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Educator in Norwalk, Connecticut 1956 until his retirement in 1996, teaching Industrial Arts at Norwalk High School, Ben Franklin Middle School and Briggs High School.
Nick enjoyed many pursuits. Among them were; traveling across the U.S.A. stopping randomly at places that sparked his interest, making wine, cooking, specially for family and friends, woodworking, stained glass and home repair projects, gardening, skiing, and helping family and friends in any way he could.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. John Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien. Memorial donations may be made in Nick�s memory to a charity of your choice. www.lawrencefuneralhome.com
