Obituary of Audrey N. Papp

Audrey N. Papp, a long time resident of Darien, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Rosenthal Hospice Residence in Stamford. Born in 1931 in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Varnes) Heinbaugh. She was 76. Audrey graduated from Darien High School in 1949. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Stamford Yacht Club and Wee Burn Country Club and was a parishioner of the First Congregational Church of Darien. She was also a former member of the Noroton Fire Department Women's Auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Ann Papp of Cape Coral, FL; one son, Andrew J. Papp, Jr. and his wife Jodi of Darien and one sister, Lois Bates also of Darien. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew J. Papp. Friends may call at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Darien, 14 Brookside Road, Darien on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Darien Lions Club (Eye Research Fund), P. O. Box 144, Darien, CT 06820.
