Obituary of Hanna K. Ford

Hanna K. Ford, beloved mother of four sons and grandmother of five grandchildren, left this earthly existence on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 to join her late husband, James S. Ford, in a more peaceful place.
Mrs. Ford was born in Poland on January 25, 1933 and after surviving the German occupation of Poland came to the United States to live with relatives. She attended Hunter College in New York City, and while living in the City developed a lifelong passion for the arts, particularly dramatic theater.
Mrs. Ford moved to Darien in 1971 and lived in the same house in Noroton Bay since then. Her years in Darien provided her with her happiest memories, and she was blessed to have a number of close friends in town with whom she regularly enjoyed dinners, movies and trips the New York. Mrs. Ford is survived by her sons, Rob, Greg, David and Jamie and by her grandchildren, Jennifer, Will, Mikaela, Isabella and Aiden.
The family will receive friends at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Friday, May 9, 2008 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the United Church of Rowayton, 210 Rowayton Avenue, Rowayton, CT on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
