Obituary of Marilyn Louise Schmidt

Marilyn Louise Schmidt a resident of Darien passed away peacefully on Sunday August 23, 2026. She was born on March 26, 1942 in Jamaica Queens to the late Richard and Louise Muller.  She was 84.

Marilyn received a bachelor’s degree from Citi College and spent her career working as a Manager at IBM.  She was also known for her talents as a Seamstress and a Baker.  She married Anton “Tony” Schmidt and they raised their two children, Michael and Louisa.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Tony of Darien, her son Michael of Stamford and one daughter, Louisa of Wilmington, VT.  She is also survived by her sister Joan Wagner of CA and two grandchildren.

Memorial Visitation hours will be at the Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien CT on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
