Obituary of Esperanza Rose Escobar

Esperanza Rose Escobar, 98, of The Villages, Florida, died August 4, 2026, in Stamford, CT, after a brief illness. Rose was born on September 5th, 1927, in Bethlehem, PA. She was the daughter of Manuel and Agnes Lopez. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Escobar, and her siblings William Lopez, Sylvester Lopez, James Lopez, and Erlinda Salazar. Rose is survived by her sister Amelia Vega, and brothers Benjamin Lopez and Charles Lopez. She is also survived by her sons Anthony Escobar (Michele) of Virginia Beach, VA and Michael Escobar (Doreen Dove) of West Seneca, NY; and her daughter Lorraine Schildnecht (Edward) of Darien, CT; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Rose was a wonderful mother and homemaker, with a passion for baking. She also worked for the West Seneca school system, where she extended that care to the students there.
