Obituary of AnnMarie Kvinge
AnnMarie Kvinge, 92, and a 54-year resident of Darien, Connecticut, is at peace having departed this life on February 19, 2026, at her home. She was born on August 12, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Mary and Anthony Maggiore.
AnnMarie was also predeceased by her brother, Ferdinand Maggiore and sister Victoria Castiglione.
AnnMarie is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Walter Kvinge; her son David Kvinge of Stamford, CT; and her son and daughter in law Walter and Lisa Kvinge of Downingtown, PA; as well as her cherished grandson, Dylan Anthony Kvinge. Her family was the center of her life, and she found great joy in supporting and caring for those she loved.
AnnMarie worked for over a decade as an Assistant Town Clerk in Darien, where she was known for her reliability, warm demeanor, and strong commitment to serving the community of Darien. She was also a dedicated parishioner of St. John's Catholic Church in Darien, where her faith and gentle spirit guided her throughout her life.
Beyond her community involvement, AnnMarie had a lifelong appreciation for opera and the arts, passions that enriched her days.
She will be remembered and deeply missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness, steadiness, and warmth touched all who knew her.
There are no calling hours. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Darien. Interment private.
