I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I was honored to have known him and to have had the chance to work with him over several decades as members of the Board of Trustees of the Vermont Law School, now the Vermont Law & Graduate School. Bob's leadership, as well as his generosity, both guided and nourished the school through good times and bad. Bob and I shared a passion for the game of lacrosse. He played at Yale, and once he learned that I played at Colgate and was coaching some of the first teams in Vermont it became one of our favorite topics of discussion. He would often bring me up to date about his grandson who was playing in college. He was very proud of all his children and grandchildren. I will miss those conversations, but I will never forget them, and I will never forget Bob. He was a mentor to me, and to many others. My condolences and best wishes to Bob's family.
