Kathleen Margaret Meenan, 53, of Norwalk, CT passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 after a long and hard fought battle with cancer.

Kathi was born on June 12, 1972 to Donald and Rita Meenan and was raised in Norwalk, CT.  From a young age, Kathi was passionate about animals, especially horses. This passion led her to become involved with Getner Barn and start her foundation, Wishes for Horses. Her ambition was to provide anyone with access to the healing power of horses. This passion also inspired her to study veterinary medicine. She earned her doctorate from Kansas State University, and then spent her career working at Rippowam Animal Hospital. Kathi cared for many animals during that time, and always approached her work with immense compassion.

In 2002 she married Richard Fletcher. Together, they raised three children in Norwalk, CT. Kathi was known for her generosity and kindness to everyone that she came across. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Kathi is survived by her husband Richard along with their three children - Daniel, Matthew, and Kevin. She is also survived by her brothers - Christopher, Patrick, and Daniel along with their families.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kathi's life during a wake on Tuesday, August 19th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home in Darien, Connecticut. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 20th, at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew Church in Norwalk.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Getner Barn in memory of Kathi's passion and lifelong devotion to the healing powers of horses.
