Margaret “Peggy” Nadriczny (Burns), age 92 of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, on June 23, 1933, Peggy was the only child of Edward & Mary Margaret Burns, also from Stamford. 

On November 7, 1953, she married Joseph “Joe” Wasyl Nadriczny, and together they shared 40 years until his passing.  They raised a family in Darien, Connecticut.  Family & friends meant everything to Peggy & Joe.  They enjoyed watching their children play baseball, soccer, and lacrosse, and opening their home for gatherings.  They were active members of St. John’s Church in Darien. 

Peggy was a banker, working for Union Trust in Darien, Connecticut.  She worked in several branches, as well as operations.  She enjoyed her work and made many dear friends along the way.  Once retired, Peggy cared for several of her grandchildren.

Peggy is survived by her son Edward J. Nadriczny; daughter-in-law, Karin A. Nadriczny; and granddaughter, Krista A. Nadriczny, all from Monroe; son Brian J. Nadriczny; daughter-in-law, Marianne E. Nadriczny; granddaughter, Laura A. Purhoit (Vinay) and grandson, Hunter J. Nadriczny (Martha) from Newtown & Southbury; and her daughter, Kimberly A. Nguyen; son-in-law, Khanh B. Nguyen; granddaughter, Kaitlyn M. Nguyen, and grandson, Conner J. Nguyen, all from New Fairfield.  She is also blessed to have two great-granddaughters, Maya Rose and Lilianna Maeve.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 11:30 am at St. John’s Church in Darien, CT. Burial will follow at St John’s Cemetery in Norwalk, CT.  Friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien, CT.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Peggy's honor to a charity of choice.
