Obituary of Mark Thomas Groenstein

Mark Groenstein, age 59, long-time resident of Nantucket, MA and Fairfield, CT died on April 29th surrounded by his family. Mark was a graduate of Central Connecticut State University where he met his wife (Alison) and he also holds an MBA from Sacred Heart University. Mark spent the last 23 years as a Senior Director of Pricing & Contracts at Medtronic, Inc. He made many longtime friends at the company and consider them extended family. Mark is survived by his wife of 37 years Alison Potts Groenstein, his children Ryan Groenstein and daughter Libby Groenstein, his future son in-law Beau King, his future daughter in-law Angela Botzet. His parents Karen and Ted Groenstein, his brother Eric Groenstein and his wife Heather Groenstein and his niece Sophie Groenstein. Mark was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He was committed to his family. Mark was a gentle, kind and witty person who will be severely missed. His humor brought joy and love to others. Mark had a huge passion for Phish and Pearl Jam, The Boston Red Sox and The New York Giants. Mark was a daily viewer of Squawk Box and The Dan Patrick Show. He loved all things Larry David. Mark had a presence and could light up every room with his laugh. He will be missed dearly, 'cant find a better man' (Pearl Jam). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Nantucket Preservation Trust or The Nantucket Conservation Foundation.
