Lillian Jean Copeland, age 94, of Darien, beloved wife to the late Harold Copeland, died on December 23, 2022. Born in Stamford, Jean was the daughter of the late Gerald and Lillian (McKee) Shields. Jean was a Registered Nurse and worked for Courtland Gardens in Stamford for over 25 years. She also was a parishioner of the Turn of River Presbyterian Church in Stamford. Jean's memory will be cherished by her loving children, Kenneth Copeland and his wife, Jennifer of Norwalk, Linda Kornmeyer of Trumbull and Ronald Copeland and his wife, Mary of Cary, IL; Grandchildren, Regina Villarroel and her husband, Juan, Todd Copeland, Matthew and his wife, Lisa, Scott Copeland and his wife, Nikki, Lauren Copeland, Amanda Copeland, and Andrew Kornmeyer and his wife, Brittany; and nine great-grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by two brothers Gerald Shields, Jr. and his wife, Ellie and Robert Shields. Funeral services will be held privately.
