I met "bow tie Bryan" on the train from Grand Central to Darien in 1987, where he passed the time playing cards and joking with his many friends. He was a prankster and a sheer delight. But what I cherish most was his sincere interest in those he cared about, his curiosity, his humanity. He became a dear friend to me over the next ten years, and I am saddened that we lost touch. I have never forgotten you, Bryan and my heart is breaking knowing you will never smile on me again.

Bryan was one of the most important people in my life. His love of family and friends was an inspiration to us all. Bryan made you feel cared for in ways others did not know how to. He made you feel a part of something greater than yourself.
I will never lose sight of his humor, creativity, and passion for life.
We all miss you deeply.

Just read the sad news of Bryan. I will remember him as a fun-loving guy with the coolest cars in the HS lot. Passed way too early. Best wishes to the Cary family. - John van den Heuvel
