Obituary of Maj. Catherine E. Reilly

Maj. C. E. Reilly, a long time resident of San Antonio, TX, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. Born and raised in Stamford on May 25, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Harold Vincent and Florence Catherine Reilly. She was 75. Maj. Reilly graduated from Stamford High School, class of 1951. She received her nursing degree from Roosevelt Hospital in New York City and a master's degree as a Nurse Anesthetist from Duke University. Towards the end of her military career she was assigned as Director of U.S.A.F. Nurse Indoctrination Training, and was previously named the U.S.A.F. Nurse of the Year. She was a strong supporter of veteran's affairs following her Honorable Discharge for medical reasons. She is survived by two brothers, Judge Kenneth F. Reilly of Montgomery, TX and Harold J. Reilly of Las Vegas, NV. She was survived by one sister, Louise Medeiros, who passed away on October 26, 2008. She is also survived by three nephews and five nieces.
