Obituary of Bela Freund

Bela Freund, a 20 year resident of Darien, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk. Born in 1947 in Budapest, Hungary, he was the son of Catherine Fluss Freund of New Hampshire and the late Robert Freund. He was 61. Bela was a Pharmacy Technician with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Norwalk Community College. He was owner of his own limousine company, Kerry Limousine and a parishioner of St. John R. C. Church in Darien. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary Kerr Freund of Darien and three children, Michelle K. Freund, Christopher R. Freund and Michael T. Freund all of Darien. He is also survived by a brother, Steven Freund of New Hampshire. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John R. C. Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM.
