Obituary of Andrew Cusack

Andrew Cusack, our brother, our uncle, our great uncle, and our friend passed away on July 10th 2009 in San Mateo, CA. Andrew was born on May 16th 1950 in White Plains, N.Y. Weighing in at 12 pounds. He was raised in Darien, Connecticut and graduated from Darien High School in 1968. He went on to Villanova University then to the University of Connecticut. He lived in New Jersey after graduating and worked for the pharmaceutical company Schering Plough before moving to California. From an early age his athletic ability was apparent. Baseball, basketball, football, rugby, he played them all and he played them well. But his intelligence, his insight, his humor, his compassion for life, family and friends far out weigh anything else. We will miss him more then words can say and we look forward to the day we see him again, healthy and happy as only Andy can be. Andrew is survived by his brothers, Don, Mike and Larry, his sisters, Pat and Mary Ellen, his nephews, Chris, Rolf, Jeremy and Anthony, his nieces, Kyle Anne and Maricate, his great nephews, Jr. and Matthew and his great nieces, Megan, Nicky and Addison. He was preceded in death by his parents who loved him so, John H. Cusack and Catherine A. Cusack. A celebration of his life will be held at the Lawrence Funeral Home 2119 Post Road in Darien, Connecticut at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 26th. A memorial softball game will be held at Hindley School softball field following the service at the Lawrence Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the charity or Homeless Shelter of ones choice. Andy would like that. The family would like to thank the staff at the San Mateo Medical Center for all the love, care and support given to Andy during his stay. You were all so kind and I know he thought of you as family. Funeral Home: Edward Lawrence Funeral Home 2119 Post Road Darien, CT USA 06820
